Inertia Youth - Student Ministries
Middle School and High School
Where does our name “Inertia” come from?
Newton’s first law of motion states that an object will not change its motion unless acted upon by an outside force. This property is known as “inertia”. Much like physical inertia, we also experience spiritual inertia. The natural trajectory of our lives is either at a standstill or deviating away from God.
Ephesians 2:4-5 says: “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved.”
God is the outside force acting upon us. God changes our inertia and redirects us toward Him.
